Program Overview: Cars on First Community Fundraising Event

Cars on First is a one-day cultural and fundraising event designed to activate Downtown Fort Myers through a celebration of automotive design, local artistry, and small business engagement. Scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, the event will transform the historic First Street corridor into a walkable, family-friendly venue featuring over 300 vehicles, live performances, vendor showcases, and food experiences.

This initiative serves as a signature fundraising and awareness campaign for Ubuntu Spirit, Inc., a Fort Myers-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving food-insecure populations through weekly street outreach, meal distribution, and resource connection.

Community Impact Goals

Raise critical funds to support Ubuntu Spirit’s goal of launching a mobile community outreach vehicle (budgeted at $35,000)
Increase awareness of food insecurity in urban Fort Myers
Provide economic opportunity to over 50 local vendors and artists
Strengthen partnerships between the nonprofit sector, small businesses, and the City of Fort Myers
