Volunteer with Us –Cars on First

Event Date: June 28, 2024 | Downtown Fort Myers

Are you passionate about giving back, supporting youth, and being part of a major community event in Downtown Fort Myers? Join the Cars on First volunteer team and help make this unforgettable day a success.

Cars on First is a one-day car and culture event that blends community engagement with charitable impact. Volunteers play a crucial role in ensuring the event runs smoothly—from setup to breakdown and everything in between. All proceeds from the event benefit SJC Boxing Club, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit mentoring youth across Southwest Florida.

Whether you're an individual, a student needing community service hours, or part of a group looking to serve together, we have a role for you.

Volunteer Roles May Include:

  • Event Setup & Breakdown Support

  • Guest Check-In and Registration

  • Hospitality & VIP Area Support

  • Parking and Traffic Flow Assistance

  • Vendor and Sponsor Assistance

  • Stage & Entertainment Coordination Support

  • Photography or Social Media Assistance

  • Community Engagement Booths

What Volunteers Receive:

  • Official Cars on First Volunteer T-Shirt

  • Complimentary lunch and water

  • Community service hours (with verification letter available)

  • Experience in large-scale event operations

  • Recognition from SJC Boxing Club, Inc.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Must be 17 years or older

  • Must attend a brief pre-event orientation (in person or virtual)

  • Must be punctual, responsible, and positive in attitude

  • Will be required to sign a volunteer waiver form

  • Must commit to at least one full shift (minimum 4 hours)

Agreement

By submitting this form, I confirm that:

  • I am at least 17 years old

  • I agree to attend a required orientation before the event (virtual or in-person)

  • I understand role preferences are considered, but final placement is based on event needs

  • I will show up on time, ready to contribute, and represent the mission of Cars on First and SJC Boxing Club, Inc. positively

  • I understand I must sign a waiver and comply with all event safety and conduct guidelines

Cars on First – Volunteer Waiver & Release of Liability


Waiver and Release (Must be Signed to Participate)

By signing below, I agree to volunteer at the Cars on First event on June 28, 2024, and acknowledge the following:

1. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk

I understand that I am volunteering my services willingly and without compensation. I acknowledge that participating in this public event may involve physical activity, crowd interaction, and unpredictable conditions. I assume all risks associated with volunteering, including but not limited to injury, illness, or property damage.

2. Health & Safety Compliance

I agree to follow all instructions, safety protocols, and event guidelines provided by organizers, and will not engage in any activity that may endanger myself or others. I affirm that I am physically able to perform my assigned tasks and will notify organizers if accommodations are needed.

3. Liability Release

I hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless SJC Boxing Club, Inc., Media Alert Press, SWFL Car Meets, Anthony Roberts, and any affiliated sponsors, partners, or event personnel from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or liability arising from or related to my participation as a volunteer.

4. Property & Equipment Responsibility

I acknowledge that I am responsible for any personal belongings or equipment I bring to the event. The event organizers are not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

5. Photo/Video Release

I grant permission for my name, image, voice, and likeness to be captured in photos or video during the event, and to be used without compensation in event promotions, press coverage, or future marketing materials related to Cars on First.

6. Emergency Authorization

In the event of an emergency, I authorize the event organizers to seek appropriate medical care. I understand I am responsible for any medical costs incurred as a result.

7. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the event hosts, organizers, and affiliates from any liability, claims, or legal actions that may arise from my own conduct or negligence while volunteering.

Acknowledgment & Signature

I have read and understand this Volunteer Waiver & Release of Liability. I acknowledge that by signing this form, I am waiving certain legal rights and voluntarily agree to the terms stated above.
