Volunteer with Us – Cars on First 2026

Be part of something bigger.
Cars on First is a large-scale, one-day community event that brings car culture, local business, and grassroots nonprofit work together for a purpose-driven celebration in the heart of Fort Myers. With over 10,000 attendees expected, we’re seeking dedicated volunteers to help make the day a success.

All proceeds from the event benefit Ubuntu Spirit, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the food-insecure through weekly meal outreach and consistent community care in Downtown Fort Myers.

Volunteer Roles May Include:

  • Event Setup & Breakdown

  • Guest Check-In and Registration

  • Parking & Traffic Flow Support

  • Vendor & Sponsor Assistance

  • Stage & Entertainment Support

  • Community Booth & Outreach Assistance

  • Photography & Social Media Support

  • Hospitality Area Coordination

What Volunteers Receive:

  • Official Cars on First Volunteer T-Shirt

  • Complimentary Lunch & Water

  • Community Service Hours (Verification Letters Available)

  • Hands-on Experience in Event Operations

  • Recognition from Ubuntu Spirit, Inc. and Event Organizers

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Must attend a short pre-event orientation (in-person or virtual)

  • Must commit to at least one 4-hour shift

  • Positive attitude, punctuality, and teamwork are essential

  • All volunteers must sign a liability waiver prior to participation

Agreement

By submitting this form, I confirm that:

  • I am at least 18 years old

  • I agree to attend a required orientation before the event (virtual or in-person)

  • I understand role preferences are considered, but final placement is based on event needs

  • I will show up on time, ready to contribute, and represent the mission of Cars on First and SJC Boxing Club, Inc. positively

  • I understand I must sign a waiver and comply with all event safety and conduct guidelines

Cars on First – Volunteer Waiver & Release of Liability

Waiver and Release (Required for Participation)

By signing below, I agree to volunteer at the Cars on First event and acknowledge the following:

1. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk

I understand that I am offering my time and services voluntarily and without expectation of compensation. I acknowledge that volunteering at a public event may involve physical activity, large crowds, and varying environmental conditions. I assume all risks associated with my participation, including potential injury, illness, or property loss.

2. Health & Safety Compliance

I agree to follow all safety protocols, event guidelines, and instructions from staff or organizers. I affirm that I am physically able to perform my assigned tasks or will notify organizers in advance if accommodations are required.

3. Liability Release

I hereby release and hold harmless Ubuntu Spirit, Inc., Media Alert Press, SWFL Car Meets, Rick Rhodes, Anthony Roberts, and all event sponsors, partners, or personnel from any and all claims, liabilities, or damages arising from or related to my volunteer participation.

4. Property & Equipment Responsibility

I acknowledge responsibility for any personal belongings or equipment brought to the event. The organizers are not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged property.

5. Photo/Video Release

I grant permission for my name, image, and likeness to be photographed or recorded during the event. I authorize these materials to be used for promotional, press, or marketing purposes without compensation.

6. Emergency Medical Authorization

In case of emergency, I authorize event organizers to seek medical treatment on my behalf. I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical costs incurred.

7. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless all event organizers, sponsors, and affiliates from any legal claims arising from my actions, negligence, or failure to follow safety guidelines while volunteering.

By signing below, I affirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the terms outlined in this waiver.I have read and understand this Volunteer Waiver & Release of Liability. I acknowledge that by signing this form, I am waiving certain legal rights and voluntarily agree to the terms stated above.
